Every morning JunkBot crosses the North Yard and sorts whatever the city has thrown away overnight.

He keeps bent signs, dead consoles and stripped machines. His rule is simple: if one light still works, the thing is not finished.

The arcade cabinet began as a place to catalogue useful parts. It slowly became his workshop, diary and only co-worker.

$JUNK is the yard's inventory mark: a record of what was pulled from the heap and given another turn.
